THIS AFTERNOON

- Words and Music by Jeff Brent © 2002

I woke up this afternoon
Had the blues all around my bed
I said, I woke up this afternoon
I had the blues all around my bed
Right there on the pillow next to me
Was a letter from my baby
And this is what it said

It said "Baby, baby, baby
I'm leaving you"
She said "Baby, baby, baby
I'm leaving you"
Oh man what's poor boy gonna do?
('cept play the blues)

I said "Baby, baby, baby
What the hell you mean, you're leavin' me?"
I said "Baby, baby, baby
What the hell you mean, you're leavin' me?"
Obviously you forgot
It's YOUR car, it's YOUR house,
and it's YOUR big screen color TV
