LEAF UPON THE WIND

-Words and Music by Jeff Brent

Remember that evening we pulled into town
Thunder and lightning, rain pouring down
We were lucky to make it in that old car
But you tore down the house with your guitar

The wind was screaming outside all around
And when the lights went out there was only one sound
You singing and playing just like a star
When somebody asked from the end of the bar

Tell me brother, where do you come from?
I'm sure I've seen you somewhere
I just can't tell it seems like so long
A night like this but I know that you were there

Sometimes you know I get to thinking
I'm just another LEAF UPON THE WIND
But every time you see I get that feeling
You smile at me and bring me back again
